Now retired, Shirish worked as a medical doctor for 40 years. He was the Chief of Psychiatry at the VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, New York and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester New York.  He has been and continues to be motivated by Gandhi’s philosophy: “To find yourself, lose yourself in the service of others.”

Shobhana was born in Uganda (East Africa) in 1951. After graduating as a registered nurse in the U.K. she moved to Flagstaff, AZ, where she lives with her husband.

Arun was born in 1948 in Solapur India and moved to the USA after qualifying as pharmacist. He lives in Rochester, NY with his wife and two sons.

Shashi was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1956. A pharmacist by profession, she lives in Rochester, NY, with her husband and daughter.

Manish was born in Mumbai in 1969. An MBA by profession he runs his business in upstate New York. He says, “I strongly believe that education is the foundation on which, not only India but the whole world could get better. Education does not just benefit the person being educated but it uplifts the whole village. There is no worthier cause or a greater reward.”

Manish lives in Rochester with his wife and 2 sons.
