 We are Still NEEDED!

The disease polio may be on the verge of eradication BUT many of its victims are in a desperately helpless state. The recent story of Vastine (below)is an example;

    Vastine, a 14-year-old polio victim with polio in both legs had spent almost 2 years at home because her school was too far, the students and the teachers were abusive towards her and did not want her to come because she was "too slow". She did not even have a wheelchair. We got her accommodated at KOCC, the orphanage near Lake Bunyoni in Uganda. Within six months she could read well, compose songs and joined the school choir. She is very happy at KOCC and refuses to go home even during the holidays because of her drunkard and abusive father.
