Angelina is a 12-year old girl with polio in both her lower limbs. Determined to get an education at any cost, she would literally crawl on her knees on a pebble-strewn path to the nearest school – 3 miles from her village.  She would start her journey at 6 each morning so that she could get to school by 9.30 am.

But those days are now over. A specially adapted bicycle donated by Polio Children was delivered in January 2015 by Building Minds in South Sudan, the NGO that runs the school. Says, her father, “The only legs she can have is her education”.
