Polio Children’s new Africa Initiative

Last October Polio Children responded to an urgent call for a 4×4 vehicle from a hostel for physically challenged children in rural Tanzania. Although Tanzania has officially been declared polio-free (with consequent loss of special funding), many of the children we saw at this hostel had paralytic limbs that were very similar to polio. After exhaustive dealings with the local bureaucracy, the vehicle was finally delivered much to the joy of the hostel’s 46 children. They will now be able to go to school/hospital in comfort and also fetch their food supplies during heavy rains.

Thanks to you and the 4×4 vehicle.

Polio Children helped to replace a new roof over the Girls Hostel and Dining Hall.

Additionally, 10 high school student were granted scholarships to persue higher education in technology.
